This website is here to help you plan, design, and execute beautifully crafted… stuff. Do you need help with crocheting, knitting, beading, sewing, embroidery, or needlework; or with the explosion of materials now available; or with locating hard to find tools? Well, that’s what I'm here for. I have easy to understand instructions! Cool, free patterns! Hard to find supplies! Hooray, it's all here, in one easy-to-use website. And if somehow, you have a problem that has never occurred to me, you gotta let me know. I will find the solution, because that's what I love to do!

The way this website is broken down is really general to specific. For example, I started with materials then broke that down into yarn, fabric, wood, metal, clay, stone, paper, and glass. So if you are looking for crochet -my first crafting love- you could either click on materials and then yarn or click on technique and then crochet. There you will find patterns, history, inspiration, and my ramblings. I also wanted to showcase things that have inspired me on the web, be it crafts, current events, or beautiful pictures. So, please enjoy!

I apologize in advance if you click on a dead link or an unfinished web page. This is a work in progress, it may never be finished.

Mission Statement

My goal with the website of Help-U-Craft is to solve crafting problems, in other words make it better, faster, and/or cheaper. I will accomplish this by exploring materials and techniques; by recounting my experiences in order to improve general crafting; by finding the right style or method for different age groups; by recounting history, culture, and time period for inspiration and methodology; and by finding better and more efficient tools. I will answer questions from fellow crafters and post their advice. The website will be a haven for crafters with difficulties in finishing their projects.

About Me

You really want know?...well, alright. My name is Anna and sometimes people ask me when did you first start crafting and I’m reminded of Elizabeth Bennett’s reply to when did you first fall in love? “It has been coming on so gradually, that I hardly know when it began.” I remember getting into to trouble one time for messing up a neighbor’s sewing box when I was six. I was trying to make doll clothes. So I guess it’s a long-time, bad habit that’s gotten out of hand. Let’s just say I love crafting, and I’ve been doing it a very long time. Other than that, I’m married to a great guy, and I’m the mother of two beautiful kids. I am very lucky and happy to have them in my life...Now let’s get crafting.
