Jun 4, Craft Fair in Los Angeles in July!

Renegade Craft Fair is coming to Los Angeles in July! Yay! However there are two drawbacks: an outdoor craft fair in LA in July and it's too late to apply for a booth. Darn. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to it. Here's more information <a href="http://www.renegadecraft.com/about?site=la target="_blank">Go to Renegade Craft Fair if you're not in the Los Angeles area, there are links for a few other cities. I'll try to post again next year around March and April when they accept applications for crafters.

Apr 16, Organizing Craft Supplies Using the Latest High-Tech Stuff

Wow! Have you seen all the cool apps for crafters in the iTunes store? (If you have no idea what I'm talking about there will be more of an explanation on a later page). What I really love besides the podcasts, patterns, and ideas are the applications that help us organize our stash. I haven't been able to test these out myself, since I am in the market for a new cellphone... but not quite yet. In the meantime we can use barcodes and UPCs to organize our supplies. There's a couple of ways to do this: 1. a barcode scanner hooked up to the computer, 2. typing in the UPC code in upcdatabase.com, and then cutting and pasting into a word file, 3. manually type in upc codes into an excel file and wait for the technology to catch up. I have to admit I am disappointed with the technology at this point. Well, a page is coming soon on this topic.
